The Return of Luck Journal & Luck Mansion Session
It’s been a little too quiet around here. So, we’re dusting off The Luck Journal to reflect on all the moments we’ve shared together. As we enter into the 10 year anniversary of Luck Reunion, we’re reflecting on the memories, and looking forward to the moments that haven’t even happened yet.
A good place to pick back up? The Luck Mansion Sessions.
You never know where the Luck Sessions will come to life: The Chapel at Luck, Dallas’ “Luck Hotel”, and the Hightower Sessions in South Carolina are all important parts of our legacy. But since 2016 we’ve held on to one tradition: The Luck Mansion Sessions in Nashville. Over the years we’ve seen unique Mansion collaborations -- from Wynonna Judd and Paul Cauthen to Blind Boys of Alabama and Hiss Golden Messenger. The inaugural Luck Mansion led to vinyl collaborations with Third Man Records and brought groundbreaking live performances from Rodney Crowell and John Paul White to Aaron Lee Tasjan and Lilly Hiatt.
This year, artists and friends gathered at 3Sirens, a secret studio tucked away in an unassuming location in East Nashville, for two days of intimate performances.
During the sessions, the music of Anderson East, Marcus King, William Tyler and Yasmin Williams, Allison Russell, Valerie June, Derek Hoke, Tré Burt, Vincent Neil Emerson, Sierra Ferrel, and The Grahams, carried through the halls and even drifted onto the lawn where some sprawled across the grass to enjoy the Tennessee sun. It was that you-had-to-be-there feeling we had deeply missed.
The good news is, even if you couldn’t be there, we have all the performances ready for you to watch. There’s a lot more sound to fill 2022 as we celebrate a decade of Luck. Come along for the ride.
